Aiming to become a significant photonics industry manufacturing base in the Southern Taiwan region, Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP) has formed a high-tech supply chain, which integrates academia, industries and R&D resources and encourages industrial upgrade. In order to attract more investments and to show the synergy of its complete "Green" industry chain, STSP has joined the Solar Taiwan exhibition along with its tenant enterprises. Here are the companies participating in this exhibition:
1. Gloria Solar Corporation, Ltd specializes in high quality solar products including monocrystalline ingots, specialty panels for automobile applications, building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) modules and standard PV modules.
2. Kenmos Photovoltaic Co.,Ltd. is a thin-film solar module maker aiming to become the top leader in thin-film solar industry in Taiwan, currently it is building up 10MW capacity and the capacity will be gradually expanded to 200 MW within 5 years.
3. Auria Solar Co., Ltd. is a joint venture of E-Ton Solar, Lite-On Technology Corp, Hermes-Epitek Corp. and MiTAC-SYNNEX Group, which focuses on silicon-based thin film solar modules. Auria has begun mass production in the beginning of 2009.
4. King Enertech System Corp. provides products from photovoltaic (PV) modules to prepackaged units to site installed systems and meets customersˇ¦ power needs by using photovoltaic (PV) technology. Its solar electric systems supply reliable power for maximum efficiency and minimum on-site construction time and operation costs.
5. Chi Mei Energy Corporation is a subsidiary of Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO), a world leader in the production of TFT-LCD panels for a wide range of application. Chi Mei Energy provides thin-film solar panels design, manufacturing and technical services. Chi Mei Energy starts mass production in Q1, 2009 with 50MW annual capacity. Following 2009, Chi Mei Energy will have GW scale of aggressive capacity expansion to fulfill customers' strong demand.
