  A new zone in this year’s PFT is called Solar Taiwan.It is in the TWTC, Hall One with about twenty participating companies occupying eleven booths covering an area of 270 m2.The exposition
  aims to provide a platform for the many already world-famousTaiwanese manufacturers, such as: Motech Industries Inc., E-ton Solar Tech., Green Energy Technology Inc., (GET) and Wafer Works Corporation.Solar Taiwan is born at the right time, and in the right place, in response to Taiwan’s booming PV industry.
  Aiming at the vital issues such as global warming, energy saving and environmental conservation around the globe, the organizer of Photonics Festivals in Taiwan proudly announces the exposition schedule for 2008.Combining expositions such as the 16th. International Optoelectronics Exposition (Opto Taiwan 2008), the 3rd. LED Lighting Taiwan and the second Solar Taiwan expositions, the Photonics Festivals in Taiwan 2008 will be held from June 13th. to June 16th., 2008 at the TaipeiWorldTradeCenter.
 
  Edison Opto Corporation was established in October, 2001 and co-founded by Mr. Jason Wu (President and CEO) and Mr. Calvin Sun (VP and CTO) and specializes in high powered LED and modules for LED lighting, optical SPDIF, optical sensors and other related products.Both of the
  company’s founding fathers are hands-on research and development engineers having many years’ experience in the Taiwanese LED industry.Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Edison employs around 190 people locally and 120 in the company’s Dongguan, China factory which was opened in October, 2006.The new facility has enabled Edison to not only lower manufacturing costs but to also be able to keep up with increased production demand.
