Advanced intelligent image and vision technology has been adopted in many of the applications today, in particular to our daily life which makes our life easier and more efficient. Researchers of AI team from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUS) has announced the collaboration with several local companies on the AI image and vision technologies. The director of Advanced Intelligent Image and Vision Technology Research of NTUS, doctor Jing-Ming Guo put together about 20 research students to focus on the AI development and consult issues from various industries. Collaborations contain the application of industry 4.0, AI in transportation and smart medical technology.
Chroma Corporation, a Taiwanese electronic test and measurement instrument company is collaborating with NTUS on the battery quality inspection and automation solution. AI image analysis is applied during product inspections, batteries out of shape or damaged can be recognized through the AI system enhancing production efficiency and reduce laboring cost.
Prof. Jing-Ming Guo and his AI research team believed the collaborations between academic and industries are the way for the technology to be adopted and produced. NTUS is well experienced in industry collaborations, PIDA industry analyst stated that NTUS has recently collaborated with many industries in different technologies and applications. Not only in AI image and vision technology but also 5G applications.
