Expanding Business Opportunities Through Active Participation in International AlliancesStandards Organizations
Founded 30 years ago, INTEGRATED SERVICE TECHNOLOGY (iST) group has seen gradual growth in revenue and profit over the past five years. The company attributes its success to following the path of major international customers, a strategy it believes is foolproof. In addition, iST has built a solid foundation in understanding the needs of these customers, providing solutions that address their pain points, and maintaining a keen sense of market trends. Furthermore, iST group has been actively involved in international technology alliances and standard development organizations, earning the trust of large clients. The company emphasizes that the key to building strong customer relationships internationally is to "first understand the pain points of customers before engaging in business."
Active Participation in International Technology Alliances and Standards Development Organizations Mr. Jeffrey Lee, Assistant Vice President of Global Engineering Development Division explained that the company’s long-term involvement in international technology alliances for cutting edge technology collaboration and standard development organizations with global members has allowed them to maximize synergies. Through effective collaboration and trust-building with members, iST has secured significant business opportunities, setting it apart from competitors. For instance, Jeffrey pointed out that iST has joined several international standard development organizations, including the Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC), the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC), the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC), the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI-SIG) . During this time, the company has actively participated in many standard development working groups and played an executive role, contributing to decision-making alongside international members. This involvement has been an effective way to cultivate potential large clients. Jeffrey emphasized that to actively participate in international technology alliances and standard development organizations, a company’s technical capabilities must be strong enough to gain acceptance. For example, in 2023, Jeffrey Lee represented working group to present collaborative outcome at the IEEE/EPS Electronics Packaging Technology Conference (EPTC) held in Singapore. The company presented a technical paper entitled “A Board Level Vibration Test Method for Electronic Industry Application,” in collaboration with several international companies. The goal was to provide better solutions for the electronics industry. By publicly presenting their collaborative results at international conferences, iST's technical achievements are widely disseminated, thus helping shape industrial standards. Due to their substantial contributions, iST has garnered recognition from international members, increasing attention from potential global customers. As illustrated, iST’s investment in verification and analysis markets, and its differentiation from competitors, allows it to gain a competitive advantage. The company’s forward-thinking planning and investment in technological innovation have enabled it to stay aligned with international standards and maintain a leading position in technology. iST's Commitment to Becoming a Solution Provider and a Guardian of Supply Chain Quality Regarding market dynamics and customer relationships, iST’s approach to addressing the rapidly changing global semiconductor market is to adjust regional strategies to meet customer needs and help accelerate product development while ensuring product quality. Jeffrey Lee mentioned that as part of its 2.0 strategy, iST, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has transformed from a provider of testing services focused on "reliability assurance (RA)," "failure analysis (FA)," and "material analysis (MA)" into a solutions provider. The company has expanded into emerging fields such as space environment testing, AI high-speed verification, automotive electronics verification, smart global reliability service, and advanced process/packaging solutions. iST’s core values focus on "speed, accuracy, and temperature," dedicated to ensuring product quality, accelerating research and development, and addressing customer pain points, thus becoming a quality guardian in the supply chain. Commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance iST also places great importance on environmental, social, and governance (ESG). Since 2019, the company has obtained ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certifications, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental protection and employee health. In 2024, iST’s energy-saving and carbon-reduction project received government approval for subsidies. The company is currently building renewable energy facilities for internal use, continuing to promote green production and energy-saving efforts. As a leader in electronic industry verification and analysis, iST aims to create maximum value for its customers, employees, and shareholders. Adhering to a core value of “people-oriented,” as well as the principles of “respect for human rights” and “diversity and inclusion,” the company views its employees as its most valuable asset. iST is committed to creating a diverse, equal, and inclusive workplace, firmly believing that “happy employees lead to satisfied customers.” The company strives to be a source of pride for its employees. Furthermore, iST is actively involved in public welfare, supporting disadvantaged groups and giving back to society. The company has also implemented environmental initiatives within its operations and collaborates with supply chain partners to promote ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. Over the years, iST has continued to support social welfare organizations and provide scholarships to nurture future technology talents and assist underprivileged children in rural areas. The company also promotes reading programs in rural schools to help students build good reading habits from an early age, enhancing their future competitiveness. In addition, iST pays attention to children’s emotional management and collaborates with related organizations to promote emotional intelligence education (EQ) for children, aiming to enhance emotional skills and foster social harmony. Furthermore, the company has launched the “Hands Down” program for organizations supporting people with disabilities, inviting them to sell self-grown products, contributing to social welfare.
